I got my first job teaching in 1993. By that time, I had heard the term “21st century skills” for more than a decade. And it made a lot of sense. As a student, it meant taking a computer class instead of typing.  But as an educator, I learned it meant less of a focus on traditional content and more on applied skills–especially in the area of technology. I am curious, though, why nearly 20% into the 21st century are we still referring to 21st century skills?  Should we be talking about 22nd century skills? Tell me what you think.
